We train our young Salesian seminarians to immerse themselves into the world of the street youngsters exposing them to the realities of city street life and at the same time to be “signs and bearers of God’s love to them.”

Salesian Vocational Funds

For the past 35 years, the Salesian Vocational Fund has aimed to work with youngsters who have God’s call for the religious and priestly life in the Catholic Church in Latin America. Many youngsters have been the beneficiaries of this vocational project of Christian solidarity, becoming priest, missionaries and lay brothers in all the countries of Latin America. As of now, there over a thousand seminarians and at all levels of formation and studies who are being aided by thousands of good Catholics across Canada, United States of America, Ireland, England and Australia.
The Salesian Society of Saint Francis de Sales in Canada welcomes all contributions to support the studies of Canadian seminarians called to religious life as Salesians of Don Bosco. Currently, we have been sponsoring Brother Jim Zettel, SDB who is currently studying in Jerusalem. In addition, the Don Bosco Mission Office in Canada provides everlasting gift card and the proceeds go towards the studies of Canadian seminarians.
